Eris Cardin
Poet. Fantasy writer. Daughter of God.
Eris Cardin is a teenage Christian, fantasy writer, poet, and missionary kid living in Thailand. When she was seven years old, she started writing, and she never stopped. Poetry was her first love, and fantasy was her second. Over the years, she has written hundreds of poems, started over a hundred stories, and finished a handful of novels and novellas.
Her poetry and stories center around the themes of friendship, love, beauty, and hope. She believes that God created the world to be a place of beauty and that He created us in His image to love eacho other, live in communities, create, and glorify Him.
She believes that classical style poetry is too often neglected, and that's why she started her blog "Rhyme and Rhythm." She herself mostly writes classical style poetry, and she wants to help bring that back into focus.
She's written fantasy of a wide variety of types, but her favorite of her books is an epic fantasy novel with complex worldbuilding. (She drew some inspiration from Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive, although she will be quick to assure you that her book is neither that epic nor that complex.) To receive snippets set in that world and to get regularly updates on her writing journey, you can sign up to her email list (see below).
She's dabbled in other genres besides fantasy and poetry, but those two are her focus, and it's hard to imagine that that will ever change.
